Now You Can Leave Long Leaders Attached to Your Mainline

If you’re familiar with the time involved in setting up a good fishing leader for big water, you understand the frustration if you have to take it apart and put it back together each time you use it. Even if you don’t have to unrig it, you probably have to take it off your main line, wrap it separately on a piece of foam, and store it in a box. With the Leader Mate, your rig doesn’t have to leave your mainline! Simply clip it to your rod, just above the handle. Wind your line in until you get the first large accessory near the tip, then start wrapping the fishing line (leader) around the Leader-Mate. As you get to other terminal tackle, you just tuck it into the slots or stick it into the high-end foam. Keep winding until you reach your final accessory (usually the hook), and stick it in the foam
